WTF?
I was in Five Below yesterday where I saw this Wonder Woman coloring book (you’re looking at the back cover). I wish I could show you the inside of it because Diana was stronger and more clearly defined in it than she has been in any DC Comic I can remember from the recent past (at least five years or so).
I’ll do my best to recount the characteristics as laid out by the coloring book:
- She’s strong.
- She’ll kick your ass.
- She’s a princess.
- Her jewelry also happens to be her weapons.
- She respects all forms of life.
- She can fly.
- She captures criminals.
- Did I mention she’s strong?
And that was it. Not ill defined as a character (like lots of comics bloggers would have you believe), and not lacking in interesting characteristics (like many DC Comics would have you believe). She’s not bland, she’s not complicated, and she’s pretty awesome.
